Construction of Stage Two of the Eureka Centre will begin before the end of the year. Council has received $10 million in grants from the State and Federal governments to fund the redevelopment of the existing centre. The Eureka Centre will be renamed the Australian Centre for Democracy at Eureka, and will tell the story of the 1854 Eureka uprising.
The Australian Centre for Democracy at Eureka will feature innovative and cutting edge exhibits and installations which will be specially designed to tell the Eureka story in an engaging way.
